The 82nd Airborne Division conducts exercises from a base in Poland a few miles from the Ukrainian border. In October 2022, the United States deployed the 101st Division of airborne troops on the territory of Romania in order to participate in military exercises. According to Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, such a step leads to an aggravation of the situation, which can be described as a perfect storm.
