Aurora 23 is the largest military exercise in Sweden in 30 years. Troops from Great Britain and Finland will also participate in the exercise.
About 26,000 people will participate in Aurora 23 and about 1,000 of them now over around Kosta, in Lessebo municipality. On Saturday, the vehicles will begin to drive south to Skåne, then the exercises will continue southwards, says Joacim Hallberg, exercise leader in Småland. The scenario is that enemies have come from the air and landed combat vehicles outside Kosta.
