Doha's Old Port has become a tourist attraction, a visitor destination and a major marina for cruise ships. The development of the old port into an attractive maritime tourism facility began after 2017, when its operations were moved to the new Hamad Port.
New facilities have been unveiled at the port, including a fish market and a robust infrastructure that facilitates the work of fishermen. The facilities also include various entertainment units that include 50 restaurants and cafes, in addition to 100 shops and hotel apartments to serve tourists and visitors.
