Over 60 percent of doctors who take psychotropic drugs prescribe it to themselves or ask a friend who is also a doctor to do so, according to a survey answered by almost 2800 professional doctors. This applies to both narcotic and non-narcotic drugs.

The researchers behind the study believe that self-prescribing, especially narcotic drugs, has several risks and should be reviewed. This is because, among other things, it increases the risk of abuse and that the doctor works under the influence.
