Al-Jazeera correspondent said that Israeli raids targeted late Tuesday evening several sites of the Palestinian resistance north and south of Gaza City. Israeli Walla website said earlier that the Israeli army had bombed five sites in the Gaza Strip so far.
The al-Qassam Brigades said its air defenses were countering airplanes raiding the Gaza strip with surface-to-air missiles. The rocket fire came after official Palestinian human rights organizations announced the death of Palestinian Islamic Jihad leader Khader Adnan after he went on an 87-day hunger strike in Israeli prisons.
