Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid meets with his Iranian counterpart in Tehran. The two discussed how Iraq can pay its debts and dues to Iran in the energy export file.
Rashid also stressed the need for Iran to take into account Iraq's water share. The meeting is Rashid's first official visit to Iran since his election in October 2022. He said he hopes the talks will lead to strengthening security in the region and solving its problems. He also said he was pleased with the development in relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia.
