Heavy defeat Saturday, May 13 for the Hindu nationalist BJP party of Narendra Modi in India. The Congress party has just won the elections in the state of Karnataka by a wide margin.
The BJP lost its stronghold in the south of the country, while the opposition celebrated a victory with national repercussions.
