In the Sverdlovsk region, the use of drones was banned until the special regime was lifted. The exception was drones that are used by law enforcement agencies, executive authorities of the region and local governments.
The head of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, Alexander Khinshtein, previously sent appeals to Transport Minister Vitaly Savelyev with a request to introduce a temporary moratorium on the Use of Drones in the region. The ban was introduced to ensure the safety of residents and critical infrastructure facilities.
