The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs proposed the creation of a repatriation institute in the country. Such a step can be taken within the framework of the state program for the resettlement of compatriots to Russia.
Among them may be persons who, as of February 24, 2022, permanently resided abroad. The project also concerns former citizens of Russia and people who were born or permanently resided on the territory of the RSFSR and were in the past citizens of the former USSR. It is proposed to include repatriates who have relatives in a direct ascending line.
