Volodymyr Zelensky was received this morning by President Steinmeier and Chancellor Olaf Scholz. This visit was preceded by the announcement by Germany of military aid on an unprecedented scale.
The Ukrainian president warmly thanked OlafScholz at a press conference at the chancellery for Berlin's support – additional arms deliveries of 2.7 billion euros were announced yesterday. The German president had even been declared persona non grata in Ukraine where he was accused of a policy deemed too understanding towards the Kremlin.
