The German Institute for Human Rights (DIMR) sees in an analysis premises for a ban on the AfD. The party is taking an active and planned approach "to achieve its racist and right-wing extremist goals," the DIMR says.
The other parties at the federal, state and local levels should distance themselves from it, it adds. The institute is not in favor of an application for a party ban, but is concerned with filling a "void" in the social and legal debate.
