As the fighting in Sudan ends, it is clear that the battles between the two sides were concentrated in five main locations: the city of Meroe, the capital Khartoum, Omdurman, El Fasher and El Obeid. Both sides have claimed control of the airport and air base after heavy clashes amid assertion that fighting continues.
The army command confirmed that the headquarters of the General Command of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) is still under its control.
