With one week to go before the May Day Golden Week in the mainland, Hong Kong's tourism industry is making every effort to attract mainland tourists. On April 4, the Director-General of the Hong Kong Travel Council (HKIC) Yang Suk-fen said that about 23,4 tourists are expected to visit Hong Kong during May Day holiday.

Of which 3% are independent travelers, and the passenger flow has recovered to 60% of the pre-epidemic level. It is estimated that there will be no problems of crowd flow and traffic congestion in some areas.
