The first fresh potatoes have been picked in Öllöv, Sweden. The potatoes were distributed to different food chains on site.

The annual tradition is to draw attention to the Swedish potato industry. The first potatoes were picked in early March, after a three-week break due to the cold weather. They were picked by Johan Svensson Wedelsbäck, a farmer in Bjäre, Sweden, who has been growing the potatoes for 30 years. He says the potatoes are a good source of income for his family.
