More than 60 million Turks are eligible to choose a presidential candidate and parliamentarians at more than 191,<> ballot boxes across the country. Voting is taking place in a calm atmosphere, as there were no significant problems until the closing of the polls at five o'clock local time.

The head of the High Election Commission announced that the turnout of voters abroad reached 53%, stressing that this rate is the highest since 2011. "What matters is the state, not the people," says a young voter.
