The Islamic Unification Center in New Jersey announced on Thursday the death of Egyptian reader Sheikh Abdullah Kamel at the age of 38. He went to America to lead Muslims in Taraweeh prayers during the holy month of Ramadan, a custom that has been the practice in past years.

The young reader and poet was introduced among the people to a number of videos on YouTube, whether with his dewy voice, his sweet chant, or some videos that carry a humorous spirit. He was born blind in 1985 in the village of Al-Mushrik Al-Qibli in Fayoum Governorate.
