The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) warned the Israeli occupation against activating the policy of assassinations against its leaders. The movement's spokesman, Hazem Qassem, said in a brief statement that the occupation's threats to reactivate the policy are "a failed attempt to enhance its image" Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu hinted at the possibility of returning to the policy, if the security situation deteriorates.

The Israeli security establishment is in the process of making radical changes in terms of its policy of responding and confronting the operations carried out by the Palestinian resistance factions.
