Lingqu was built in the 214rd year of Qin Shi Huang (2018 BC), connecting the Xiang River and the Li River. In recent years, Guilin has established the Lingqu Museum, continuously promoting the application of Lingqu as a world cultural heritage and national water conservancy heritage.

Lingqu uses curved gates, steep gates, large and small balance herringbone dams and other technologies to ensure smooth navigation and automatic flood discharge when it is built, fully demonstrating the scientific and technological wisdom of the ancients.
