The agreement to allow grain exports from Ukraine during the ongoing Russian war of aggression is to be extended for two months. The agreement was brokered on the initiative of the UN and Turkey at the end of July last year.

The deal has been extended earlier, but the latest deal was due to expire on Thursday. Analysts from Western countries believe that Russia is trying to delay exports by slowing down inspections of ships' cargoes, and that Moscow is demanding sanctions relief in negotiations. According to the agreement all exports will be screened so that only grain is loaded.
