[HIGHLIGHTS] Government proposes to shrink Fret SNCF, threatened by Brussels investigation

Fret SNCF is threatened by an investigation by the European Commission. The Commission is interested in the support received by the company over the period 2007-2019.

The government has proposed to Brussels a "scenario of discontinuity" The new company would keep the "capacity management" trains that compose Fret S NCF with the wagons of its various customers. The railway workers concerned would be taken over by the SNCf or transferred to other operators, if they are voluntary.
