Remco Evenepoel won the 9th stage of the Giro d'Italia, an individual time trial of 35 km. This is the second victory in this Giro for the world champion who had flown over the inaugural time a week ago.
The 23-year-old Belgian, who had ceded his pink jersey to Norwegian Tobias Leknessund on Tuesday, retakes the lead in the general classification. The Giro will take a break on Monday, the first rest day of the race.
