Remco Evenepoel wins second stage of the Giro d'Italia in Cesena. The Belgian is now 45 seconds ahead of Geraint Thomas in the overall standings.

The Welshman is just one second ahead of the other British team Ineos. The third and final stage is in the Dolomites, with a final time trial in Rome on Monday. It is the first time in nine years that the Belgian has won a stage in the Italian race. The race finishes on Sunday in Rome, with the final stage on May 18.
