World champion Remco Evenepoel fell on Wednesday during the fifth stage of the Giro d'Italia. A dog crossed the road just before and caused the fall of a teammate.
The Belgian got up and changed his bike, before returning to the peloton a few minutes later. The fifth stage takes the riders over 171 km from Atripalda to Salerno. The race is expected to finish in Milan on May 25th, with the final stage on May 26th.
