Jonathan Milan of Italy wins the second stage of the Giro d'Italia in San Salvo. Belgian Remco Evenepoel kept the leader's pink jersey without worry.

Track specialist Team Bahrain won in force ahead of Dutchman David Dekker and Australian Kaden Groves. Three members of the Top 10 overall, Tao Geoghegan Hart, Jay Vine and Brandon McNulty lost a handful of seconds in the index and fell slightly in the standings. The third stage should once again suit the sprinters since the two successive climbs of Monticchio and Valico La Croce are located too far from the finish to make a real difference.
