A one-day strike by Berlin airport security guards is scheduled for Monday, April 24. For several months, Germany has been shaken by a social movement.
The social partners are calling for a general increase in wages to compensate for inflation. On Saturday evening, after tough negotiations over public service employees, the government and social partners reached a compromise. Their salary will be gradually increased by 5.5% or at least 340 euros per month, from March 2024. From June 2023, a bonus of 3,000 euros will also be paid to them in several instalments.
