Luis Alfredo Garavito is the biggest rapist and murderer of children in Colombian history. He has eye cancer and can no longer see out of his left eye.
He was also diagnosed with leukemia. He awaits death in a cell of the high-security Tramacúa prison, located on the outskirts of Valledupar, the capital of the northern department of Cesar. He could not bear other inmates shouting "murderer", "thug", threatening him with savage and slow deaths, and insulting him.
