On the 424th day of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the French government promised to provide ships, buses and railway tracks to Kiev. On a visit to the country, the Minister Delegate for Transport, Clément Beaune, called on French companies, "now", to be there, especially in the transport sector.

Paris has pledged "to provide 20,000 tons of rails to Ukraine, to rebuild several hundred kilometers of railways" and "a dozen generators of 1.5 tons additional, in addition to the twenty delivered to Ukrainian railways"
