A month after the clashes in Sainte-Soline, the demonstration against a motorway project between Toulouse and Castres, in the south-west of the France, took place peacefully on Saturday 22 April. 4,500 people, according to the prefecture, 6,700 according to organizers, marched to denounce a project they consider anachronistic.
The Ministry of Transport had announced that the decision to build this highway would be reviewed. The first cars should be able to circulate there in 2025.
