Wage inequalities between CEOs and employees are growing. This is what emerges from the latest report by Oxfam France and Basic.

The pay gap between CEO and average salary has increased from 64% to 97% between 2011 and 2021. The 100 largest French companies listed on the stock exchange have doubled their wealth created between 2009 and 2021, but yet the share intended for employees has decreased from 61 to 51%. "We are on an increase in CEOs 4 times faster than that of low salaries," says Oxfam's Léa Guerin.
