Swedish-Finnish independent schools teach in Finnish and Swedish. The wording of the Schools Ordinance does not take into account linguistic needs.

"Half is too little. When you get older, you still start to speak more Swedish," says Safin Alipour, a former student of one of the schools. More individualised teaching is needed, says Nina Remesaho Willner, who also attended the Swedish-finnish school in Upplands Väsby.
