It is extremely dry in many parts of Sweden and there is an increased risk of fires. In forests in several parts of the country, there was a fire on Monday, including east of Växjö.
Fire Chief Lars-Göran Uddholm believes that it could be like the summer of 2018, but that Sweden is better equipped now. In Stockholm County, Jönköping County, Örebro County and Västra Götaland there is a fire ban.
