Fire in forest area in Järlåsa, west of Uppsala. Two helicopters participated in the extinguishing work and the fire is now considered to be under control.
The area burning is estimated to be about 10,000 square meters, one hectare. There should be no buildings nearby. The hope was to be able to hand over responsibility to the landowner by 16.15 p.m. The operation had to be launched on foot. It will take several hours to extinguish the fire, says the Central Rescue Centre.
