[HIGHLIGHTS] Foreign Ministry: Russia will regard actions that pose a threat to peacekeepers in Transnistria as an attack

Russian Foreign Ministry: Any actions that would pose a threat to Russian peacekeepers in Transnistria will be considered as an attack on Russia. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin said that despite the limited number, Russian peacekeeping forces remain the only real factor guaranteeing peace and tranquility in the region.

He added that Russia will respond adequately to any provocations against the Russian military in TransNistria. The Russian military has been deployed to the region since the start of the Ukraine crisis.
