The parties to the Fosen conflict met on Monday in a first meeting to bring about a solution. The meeting was attended by the so-called national mediator, Mats Ruland.

His role at the meeting was not a national mediators but a neutral person with long experience from negotiations. The reindeer herders say they need to know more about the mediator's starting point before they have clearer expectations, according to their representative Sissel Stormo Holtan. The state, which has given permission to build the wind turbine, is responsible for the conflict.
