A new "Forest Weather" alerting the population to the risk of starting fires will be broadcast by Météo France daily from June 1 until the end of September. It will present the degree of risk by a color code ranging from green (low) to red (very high) in France.

In parallel, a "forest fire weather" will be extended this summer from 15 to 35 departments, then 55 in 2024. The forecasts will be established, in collaboration with the National Forestry Office, based on data such as the drought of vegetation.
