Swedish city of Filipstad is planning to build one of the world's largest solar cell and battery parks. The solar cells will produce 20 megawatts of solar power annually while 25 megawatts can be stored in the battery park at the same time.

The project is scheduled to start construction in early 2024 and is expected to cost around $1.5 billion. The company behind the project, Swiss energy company Axpo, has stepped in as a financier to help pay for the project.
