[HIGHLIGHTS] European elections: Threshold clause in European elections: How the traffic light interferes with our basic democratic rights

The CDU and CSU presented a new law for the European elections. It provides for the introduction of a two-percent hurdle perhaps from 2024.

But the argument of fragmentation simply does not work in the European Parliament. The Bundestag must not support this anti-democratic law. It must not be they who decide on the representatives of the people, but the people! It must be the people who make the decisions. It is not for nothing that the Federal Constitutional Court has already overturned such attempts twice.
