Estonia will almost double the personnel of the army in wartime, the country's Defense Ministry said. The upper limit will now include about 6,4 thousand people from the Defense Forces, about 30 thousand more people - members of the paramilitary militia Kaitselit and numerous reservists.
Earlier it was reported that the United States this week will transfer military equipment through Estonia in preparation for exercises in Finland. The contingent includes an armored combined-arms battalion with Abrams tanks and Bradley infantry fighting vehicles.
