Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was sworn in on Saturday for a new 5-year presidential term. The inauguration ceremony is expected to take place in the evening at the presidential complex in the capital, Ankara.
In the presidential run-off on May 28, Erdogan won 52.2 percent of the vote, and his victory came against the expectations of most opinion polls. The ceremony will be attended by the Presidential Symphony Orchestra, the Turkish Traditional Music Orchestra, and the Armed Forces Military Music Orchestra. President Erdogan will hold a dinner in honor of his guests at Çankaya Palace in Ankara, this evening.
