Emmanuel Macron will visit Germany from July 2 to 4, a first for a French head of state since 2000. A trip announced after months of friction between Paris and Berlin on multiple subjects.

"This special event marks the beginning of a new chapter in the friendship that has united the two countries for decades," the German presidency said. The head of German diplomacy, Annalena Baerbock, will be in Paris on Tuesday and Wednesday. The ecologist minister will be received by Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday.
