An employee of Kashiwazaki-Kariwa had placed important documents on the roof of the car – which he simply forgot about when he started the car and drove away. A blunder that has caused the world's largest nuclear power plant – which has already suffered breakdowns – to remain shut down.

The fad was discovered only after a local resident found some of the documents – which included how the nuclear plant would handle floods and fires. The nuclear power in Japan has come under heavy scrutiny since the accident in Fukushima just over ten years ago.
