Around 20 out of more than 80 reports contain information about lack of care. Only one of the cases has been sent to IVO, the Health and Social Care Inspectorate.
Most of the serious deviations concern elderly people with dementia in nursing homes, but some also come from home care services. The municipality itself notes that there has been an increase in deficiencies in care that have caused suffering for the victim. It states that serious deviations are a consequence of a lack of competence and staffing. "You have the right to feel good and safe living in our operations," says Annika Eriksson, chief of staff in care.
