Sha'Carri Richardson wins the 100m at the Doha meeting for the opening of the Diamond League. The 23-year-old American sprinter made the difference over Shericka Jackson in the second half of the race.
Richardson's best time in regular conditions was on April 10, 2021 in 10.72 seconds. The peak of the season is expected with the Worlds-2023 in Budapest at the end of August (from 19 to 27) for the sprinters. The meeting record had been owned by American Tori Bowie, who died Wednesday at 32.
