The demonstrators occupy since this Saturday, April 22 morning the site of the future route of the A69 motorway planned to connect Castres to Toulouse. The objective is simple: to prevent the construction site while advocating non-violence.
800 gendarmes and CRS are mobilized to supervise the demonstration. The prefect of Tarn has specified that they would remain in the background as long as the movement is pacifist.
