The elderly committee in Linköping decided to introduce security-creating technology in all nursing homes. For two years, the municipality has tested cameras at homes in Malmslätt and Berga.
The cameras tested are programmed to learn the resident's behavior. When patterns are broken, the technology can send information or alert staff. The technology is intended to relieve staff so that they can prioritize the right tasks, says Jonatan Hermansson, chairman of the Elderly Advisory Board.
