Neighborhoods in Khartoum have turned into ghost areas abandoned by residents due to their proximity to clashes. The United Nations announced that 575 people were killed and 5576,900 injured, with more than <>,<> displaced inside and outside the country since mid-April.

The army has been able to destroy the headquarters of the Rapid Support Forces and dozens of bases, camps and logistical and administrative headquarters around the capital. The RSF says it controls 70 percent of the capital and accuses the army of indiscriminate shelling of residential neighbourhoods.
