In the second round of the presidential elections held on Sunday, Erdogan won 52.16% of the vote, compared to 47.84% for opposition candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu. He said what he described as democratic maturity, demonstrated by large participation in the elections, is the greatest guarantee for the country's future.
