On the eve of Turkey's presidential and parliamentary elections, most polls give a narrow lead to the main opposition candidate, Kemak Kiliçdaroglu. In the camp of President Erdogan, there seems to be a prospect of defeat, while waving threats that feed concerns for the post-election period.

This is the sixth time that Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has put his mandate on the line, and the first time that, in his speeches, the possibility of defeat is felt across the lines.
