Sweden is at war and the defense of the country is in full swing. The major exercise Aurora 23 this week has entered a new phase.
At Skavsta Airport outside Nyköping, Norrbotten Air Force Base is in place with several JAS planes and associated maintenance troops. They are based in the forest and on a secluded part of the airfield where the fighter planes are being prepared for the next operation. "This is a shining example of total defence cooperation," says Tommy Pettersson, deputy chief of the Air Force.
