The National Assembly has just adopted a resolution condemning Operation Wuambushu in the French department of Mayotte. The campaign to destroy places occupied by Comorian migrants was supposed to begin on Tuesday, but was suspended following a court decision.

The resolution condemns the expulsion of Comorian citizens deemed illegal by the France and calls on him to abandon his operation. It reaffirms the sovereignty of the Comoros over Mayotte, a sovereignty repeatedly supported by the United Nations. The elected officials urge their head of state to open direct negotiations with his counterpart Emmanuel Macron.
